PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS :

The need for understanding risk management and risk surveys becomes more crucial as challenging exposures are being brought in by the marketing team. There are various techniques and procedures in place to conduct better risk surveys prior to accepting risks.

Underwriters also depend on the findings of the risk surveyors who are the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Insurance companies. This course intends to capture and share those key features to help create better team members who can contribute to help secure good risks for the Insurers, Brokers and Insureds.

  • Executives, senior Execs, Asst Managers and Managers – Insurance companies, brokers and loss adjusters (reinsurers and RI Brokers)

  2. highlight the Property and Engineering risk assessment survey prior to accepting a risk
  3. identify a good, fair and poor risk for acceptance and able to offer risk improvement recommendations
  4. consider the values of risk survey and relate it to the common hazard and physical hazard, management, construction, fire and security protection, exposure of a particular risk
  5. appreciate the fire protection & fire extinguishment and security protection system and the maintenance of the facilities

FACILITATOR PROFILE :

Pooba Mahalingam – He is specialized in the insurance space with special focus on engineering/ property insurance and risk management aspects. Pooba is a regular lecturer with the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) and the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII). He is also the Author of a MII publication entitled, “Engineering Insurance.” Besides training, Pooba also undertakes property risk surveys and provides consultancy services to various clients in Malaysia/ Singapore and in the following regions: Asia, Middle East & Africa.
